How abouts Scripting Class? make a specific channel for it and have people decide what they want to teach ect to the class, this won't only benefit the users in #mircscripting, but the ops and voices too. |

Don't we have the "tutorials" section on the forum for this? Could be good idea to post a tutorial and afterwards do some kind of class in a separate channel for scripters who still have problems/questions/... _________________ "An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind."

We have tried to do things like this before.
Of course back then we didn't have the support that we do now.
Mindless: When we had the old board, did you get many questions about something that you put in the tutorials? Of course they were very clear, but that may give you a feel of how much interest there would be in a class or planned lesson.
I do have plans to make some mini-tests that people can take to guage thier knowledge, and weeknesses. (Of course if this is a hit someone will have to take over when my skills are in question.) |

No I didn't get much questions (can't recall getting any questions actually) but that can also be due to the fact that not too many people read them, and those reading them already knew what I was talking about .. _________________ "An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind."

eh, guess you guys have a point with the tutorials, and most people i think did know what you were talking about in your tutorials on the other site mind, but sooner or later such things will become useful to send noobies. btw, working on any tutorials as of now ? |

currently i'm working on an introduction to mIRC scripting for absolute beginners, but m next tutorial will probably be something for more experienced users or something.. perhaps I'll start my dialog tutorial again, I heard many people would find that useful. _________________ "An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind."

a scripting class would be good, but then we all have something else to do besides irc,
and perhaps can't be on the designated time for the class *different time zones* i say stick to the tutorials. |

I can't delete this post (lack of access) - but that file is a trojan.
Installs a program named VirusBurster 6.2
Kaspersky and Avast find it "clean"
When you run it, installs the program to C:\Program Files\MMediaCodec
Files associated with it :
isamonitor.exe
pmsngr.exe
pmmon.exe
isamini.exe
<@weezil> Process File: isamonitor.exe
<@weezil> Process Name: Trojan.Zlob.Media-Codec
<@weezil> Description: isamonitor.exe is a process which is registered as a trojan. isamonitor.exe is a dangerous program. It is suggested that you update your antivirus program and scan your system.
<@weezil> Process File: pmsngr.exe
<@weezil> Process Name: Trojan.Media-Codec.Process
<@weezil> Description: pmsngr.exe is a process associated with Trojan.Media-Codec.Process from NA. pmsngr.exe is a dangerous program. It is suggested that you update your antivirus program and scan your system.
<@weezil> Description: pmmon.exe is a process belonging to Trojan.Media-Codec.Process. pmmon.exe is a dangerous program. It is suggested that you update your antivirus program and scan your system.
<@weezil> Process File: isamini.exe

<@weezil> Installs itself in registry to HKLM/Run as VirusBurster
<@weezil> C:\Program Files\VirusBurster\virusburster.exe /h
